How To Deep Clean Dishwasher
Deep Cleaning dishwasher
You must be doing this at least 1-2 times a month in order to keep your dishwasher working properly. If you have noticed your dishes haven’t been getting the cleanest then chances are you need to Deep Clean your Dshwasher!!
🧼 How to deep clean dishwasher:
• Make sure dishwasher is empty and remove filter and soak in warm soapy water for 10 minutes then scrub all the food off.
• While that is soaking spring the floor of your dishwasher with baking soda and scrub it with a scrub brush and warm water. Making sure to wipe down/wipe out the filter holder to remove any residue. Before putting the filters back in.
• Now fill your spray bottle with 1 cup vinegar 3 tablespoons Blue Dawn Dish Soap. Spray everywhere else with the vinegar and start scrubbing. (Commonly forgot places to clean: sides of machine, seal, door, where door and floor meet.)
• Once you have scrubbed everything clean, return the filters to the machine.
Then put a bowl with 1 cup vinegar in it on the top rack of your dishwasher and run a cycle on the hottest setting possible(if your dishwasher has a sanitize option choose that one.
• Once that cycle has ended if you want it extra clean sprinkle baking soda on the bottom of your dishwasher and run another cycle.
One of my biggest tips is to use a dishwasher cleaning pod at least every other week! These help keep your dishwasher working properly and smelling fresh! I will link my favorite ones below.
